Is a Japanese technique which reduces stress, whilst at the same time promoting relaxation and healing.
It is a gentle, non-invasive practice administered by “laying on hands”. The practitioner known as a Reiki Master channels energy into the patient to activate the natural healing process in their body and restore their physical and emotional well-being.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.” Reiki practice is based on the idea that the unseen “life force energy” (Ki or chi) which flows through us is the primary source of life. If an individual’s “life force energy” is low, they are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, they are more capable of being happy and healthy. Receiving Reiki replenishes energy levels depleted by illness, stress or environmental factors in our everyday lives.
Reiki is increasingly recognised as a valuable complement to conventional medical treatment, as it has no contra-indications and can be safely combined with allopathic medicine. Reiki is popular simply for the deep relaxation that it offers and, for many people is often the foundation of a spiritual practice. It provides a means to experience, in the physical world, the benefits of positive intention, conscious connection to the Life Force Energy, and the amazing potential of the human being to heal on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels.
There are have many Reiki Masters who use Findhorn Flower Essences as a complement to their work with clients, helping them to address the emotional and mental issues which are a cause of their imbalance.
